The last Warhammer World events of 2025 end the year with a bang

The closing days of summer herald details of the year’s final Warhammer World events, closing out December with an exciting team event for Warhammer 40,000 and a fun, friendly weekday of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

But first – have you been watching the NOVA Open? It’s one of the most important independent events on the Warhammer calendar, and it kicked off just yesterday with an exciting card of top-level tournament play for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, as well as narrative events, painting competitions, Warhammer activities, a huge store and loads of other things to see and do.

You can catch the action from the Warhammer 40,000 singles event over at the Warhammer Twitch channel, and cheer on your favourite tournament players – the best of whom will be taking their mastery of the game on to the World Championships of Warhammer in November.

The last Age of Sigmar event at Warhammer World in 2025 pits your 1,000-point army against three opponents in the laid-back setting we know as the Contest of Heroes. Held over the course of a single weekday, newcomers, veterans, and avid hobbyists alike come together to try out new armies, show off their latest projects, and just have a grand old time in the heart of Warhammer World.

Awards are given out for good generalship, sporting conduct, and painting, with an army showcase during the lunch break giving everyone the chance to display their army and vote for their favourites.

This event takes place on the 10th of December.

Gather three like-minded friends who are itching to test themselves on the battlefields of Warhammer 40,000 and enter a five-game, two-day team event that will test both your tactical skill at the table and your decision-making prowess when drafting the matchups with the opposing team each round. With foreknowledge of the other team’s armies, you’ll engage in an intense strategic conundrum to try to stack the odds in your favour, which is every bit as important as the game that follows.

Not only are there awards for the three highest ranking teams, but also for the players’ favourite armies, the best-painted army decided by a panel of judges, and a sportsmanship award for the players’ favourite overall team. Lunch will also be provided on both days.

This event takes place on the 13th and 14th of December.
