Warhammer Age of Sigmar – Battlescroll Updates

Every quarter, Warhammer Age of Sigmar receives an update to ensure that battles in the Mortal Realms remain balanced. Let’s see what we have in store for the first changes in 2026.

Just before Christmas, we were in the afterglow of the World Championships of Warhammer, and the Blades of Khorne received some tweaks. The first update of the year is usually a smaller update, and this one tightens up a few little things based on post-release feedback for the new Disciples of Tzeentch and Lumineth Realm-lords battletomes, while also providing a smattering of updates for other factions.

Many units have received points drops across the board.* On the other hand, Auxiliary units have a compounding cost if you take multiples of the same unit – the Slann Starmasters have decreed that the Great Plan doesn’t require quite as many Spawn of Chotec.

There are some other small changes, such as the effects of the Ironjawz spell Bash ‘em Ladz! and prayer Killa Beat have been updated to last until the start of your next turn to give you more time for krumpin’. Finally, there have been a wide range of rules adjustments for many  Spearheads to help keep that fast-paced game format balanced.
