Our journey through the legendary Black Books of the Horus Heresy has kept us perilously close to the World Eaters this week – and, after we learned all about their berserker proclivities last week, we’re not sure that’s a safe place to be. Nevertheless, there’s more to learn about Angron’s bloody-handed sons, so we’re sticking with it like the best Remembrancers of the Heresy did.
This time, we examine the fate of the mustering world known as Bodt* – famous as the site where Angron collected his World Eaters together before embarking on the Great Crusade – where an outcast war leader of the Iron Hands who survived the horrors of Isstvan V has been waging a brutal war of vengeance against the Traitors. His forces come to Bodt to deny the Warmaster’s armies access to the great stockpiles of wargear stored on the planet.
It sounds fairly normal, but this engagement was anything but. Just wait for the part where the Iron Hands throw a burning moon at the planet.
