The next Kill Team expansion is available to pre-order tomorrow and with it come two brand new and eagerly awaited kill teams – the tunneling Raveners and the noospherically-linked Battleclades. When we put out the call to the wider Warhammer Community, we were inundated with incredible responses. Thanks to everyone who contributed and apologies if yours aren’t featured here – there were simply too many to cover them all.
We’ll start with the Battleclade kill team, servitors who go to battle under the command of a Tech-Priest Technoarcheologist and his Servitor Underseer.
The servitors are totally in thrall to the commands of their masters, and Garfy Etherington, Andrew Lynch, Rhys Salmon, Colin Ward, and Giacomo from Squad Games Entertainment have tackled various operatives and kill teams.
Command duties are primarily undertaken by the Servitor Underseer, as the Technoarcheologist lets his underling do the real work while he scopes out old VHS players and the like. These characterful operatives caught the eyes and oracular augmentations of Vincenzo Celeste, Chris Frosin, Adán García Fernández, Siôn Scannell, Amy Snuggs, and Rob Nichols.
Raveners are a well-known Tyranid bioform, experts at tunneling beneath the battlefield and ambushing their opponents in a flurry of scything talons. Their new Kill Team is an elite affair – just five operatives who sport a range of nasty mutations.
Marc Büsing, Matt Crowther and Chris Lewis, Chrissie Orton, Vincent Knotley, and Chris Wildman each painted the whole team – no mean feat given the size and complexity of these writhing Tyranids.
Others opted to lavish their attention on a handful of these deadly bioforms, or even just one, showing off the diverse selection of colours that the hivefleets can take. Check out the above from Tiffany Cosset, Dakotah from Squad Games Entertainment, Rob Merkel, Rhys Salmon, Siôn Scannell, and Ryan Slater.
The final crop of slithering Tyranids is provided by Chris Frosin, Richard Gray, Joshua Mallett, Crystal McHaffie, Jennie Ruskin, Jessica Smart, and Erik Swinson – leaving you spoilt for choice if you’re looking for inspiration.

There are of course some hobbyists who fancy doing something a little bit different – Marc tackled the terrain, while Garfy created one of his stunning photoshoots with the Battleclade, and Pedro Jimena created a small diorama with a Ravener popping up to surprise a Technoarcheologist.

Once again, thanks to everyone who sent miniatures in. Kill Team: Typhon is available to pre-order tomorrow. Not only does it feature two new kill teams and Tyranid terrain, it also has a set of Tyranid NPOs for use in a new set of missions featured in the box.
