Scourge of Ghyran day 3: Dining out with the Flesh-eaters

Welcome, noble courtiers, to a sumptuous repast. Laid before you is a smorgasbord of flavoursome formations, exquisite enhancements and mouth-watering warscrolls for the most illustrious and honourable nobles of the… um… Flesh-eater Courts? Is that right? Apparently so. Sir Alexander of Marrowgnaw is here to guide you through the menu.

To begin, we’re serving up a medley of battle formations to delight your tactical tastebuds. The Questing Courtiers formation would suit those who prefer to bring many august heroes to their noble household. As soon as your champions kill something (and possibly eat it), they become harder to kill, which is definitely a fair trade-off.

On the other hand, if you prefer a horde of sycophantic minions, perhaps Impassioned Serfs would be a better option. Your vassals believe themselves to be singing the foe into a blissful stupor, but in reality their enemies are so traumatised by this cannibalistic nightmare that they just stand there to be eaten. Different viewpoint, same gory result.

The main course consists of three new monstrous traits. Savage Abomination comes with serious bite, making a companion more deadly in combat. Meanwhile, Revered Monstrosity makes nearby companions more aggressive, but our favourite is Horribly Resilient, which enables you to heal your monster – or stop it noticing when bits fall off. Continuously regenerating Terrorgheist? Yes please!

For dessert, there are two delicious warscrolls. The Abhorrant Ghoul King has always been a character assassin, but his murderous tendencies have become infectious, spreading to nearby heroes. In turn, they spur him on to even greater heights of ferocity.

The other new warscroll is for the Abhorrant Gorewarden, who is now more dangerous on the charge when surrounded by his loyal knights (megabat-riding lunatics). He’s now extremely handy when it comes to grabbing objectives…

Tomorrow’s Ghyranic gift has a distinctly fungal flavour to it. It’s also a bit moony. What could it possibly be?
