The new edition of the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game is settling in, but there’s yet more to come.
We celebrate the latest film in the saga – The Lord of the Rings™: The War of the Rohirrim™ – with two fantastic new miniatures, and the first in a series of Middle-earth Journals.

Helm Hammerhand™, King of Rohan™, was one of the greatest kings in the history of Rohan, his heroic deeds written down in legends and songs recounted long after his death. His one fault was his temper – anyone who disrespected him or his family was sure to earn his wrath.
Those familiar with Middle-earth history will know that this anger – coupled with his mighty strength – landed him in trouble with the West-march. When the son of Freca, Lord of the West-march, raised an army to assault the city of Edoras, Helm did not shy from the challenge and rode out to lead his warriors in the city’s defence.

You’ll be able to field him on the tabletop later in the year with a plastic kit that builds him on foot and mounted on an armoured horse, as he was seen at the Battle of Edoras – a mighty hero indeed. You can find his full rules in the Armies of The Lord of the Rings™ supplement.

He is joined by the first Middle-earth Journal, a 48-page supplement covering more of The War of the Rohirrim. It includes a thrilling 11-battle campaign following the events of the movie and using the full range of new and existing miniatures, as well as a veritable host of hobby content explaining how to build ruined Rohan houses and Hill Tribes encampments, alongside some ’Eavy Metal painting guides that cover how to paint Warriors of Rohan, Hill Tribesmen and a variety of Rohirrim from different regions of Rohan during this period.
We’ll have more information on both new releases later.
