Can we tempt you with some new rules? Of course we can, you’re here every day, lapping them up, hungry for more. It’s becoming an obsession. You love it. You need it. Don’t feel bad – the Prince of Excess approves. Here’s Lydia, who is hiding several crab claws up her sleeves, on the benefits of joining the cult. Don’t ask where she got her harp.
The first of today’s delightful excesses are a pair of battle formations. The Invaders want to get into enemy territory and steal it from them. The Pretenders, meanwhile, feature a Hero with such a grotesque surfeit of hedonistic qualities that their followers are in constant awe. They flex at every opportunity, gaining a new heroic trait from the Figureheads of Slaanesh or the Hedonistic Obsessions tables during the Deployment phase.
The Hedonistic Obsessions table sounds tempting, doesn’t it? There are all sorts of boons to tickle Slaaneshi fancies. The Need for Perfection makes an extra unit Euphoric if it fails to accomplish something perfectly, such as charging or casting a spell, as they are driven to do better next time. The Celebrity Warlord ascends a Hero to such a celebrated status that mortal followers flock to their service.
The Master of Temptation is perhaps the most delicious. If your opponent opts not to use any Temptation Dice in their turn, you can restrict one of their units to using only Core abilities, such as moving normally or fighting. Want to use All-out Defence? Can we tempt you to use one of these special dice?

The warscroll updates for the Hedonites are for Slaangor Fiendbloods and Syll’Esske: The Vengeful Allegiance. The Slaangor now lie in wait for their foes and pounce on them when the moment is right. What could be more terrifying than nine-foot goatmen with claw hands, huge horns and knee-high boots appearing out of nowhere?
Probably Syll’Esske, whose inspiring presence encourages both mortals and daemons to fight harder and faster. Put them in the middle of your battleline and be assured that you’ll get plenty of attacks in before your opponent. On top of that, if Esske slays a Wizard, he’ll offer up one of their trinkets, talismans, or maybe even their severed head to Syll, whose Wizard level will increase every time he does so! This will help them cast Wandering Minds – a new spell that strips Ward saves from their foes and grants them to their daemonic followers.
