It’s been a turbulent time for the Blacktalons as battles without and treacheries within have stretched the resolve of our Sigmarite-clad hunters. Here’s a little reminder of where we left our heroes (and villains) after the series’ halfway point and the climactic battle at the Stormrift Realmgate.

Neave Blacktalon

While victorious in her battle against Be’lakor in Hammerhal, the eponymous heroine has seen the cracks in her team begin to widen, not least with the revelation of Hendrick’s murderous schemes. She has also lost her closest ally in Shakana, who is now on a vital mission of her own.

Shakana

The Blacktalons were successful in their plan to have one of their number infiltrate through the corrupted realmgate during the battle of Hammerhal, and slink into the heart of Be’lakor’s realm. Shakana was that warrior. Now all she has to do is find a way to undo the Dark Master’s plans on her own, from inside his dark citadel, while surrounded by a veritable legion of fanatical Chaos worshippers – easy.

Hendrick

Hendrick showed his true colours during the battle for Hammerhal, and now his demi-regular backstabbing of Neave (all for the greater good of Sigmar’s plan, of course) is common knowledge. We can’t imagine that the other Blacktalons will look too kindly on this, regardless of any proposed noble intent or whose orders he was following.

Lorai

The Idoneth seer’s motivation for helping the Blacktalons has never really been clear. Certainly, the aelves of the deep are not known for their selflessness. Maybe we’ll find out her true intent in these three new episodes? Regardless, we’re sure her sorcerous tricks will be put to good use.

Rostus

Laid low by Eternus and his forces already this season, the Oxenhammer has returned to the Blacktalons a changed soul. His last reforging has taken a toll on this hero – the most jovial of the Blacktalons now shows a darker edge. It remains to be seen how much of the warrior we knew remains.

Eternus

The Dark Master’s right hand man might have been cut down by Neave a couple of episodes back, but mostly only to demonstrate the power of his corrupted ‘reforging’. We don’t think we’ve seen the last of him. (Also, he was in the trailer).

Be’lakor

Getting your head chopped off isn’t the career-ending blow for a daemon that it might be for more transient creatures. The Dark Master remains the key antagonist of the series, still enacting his diabolical plans for Hammerhal, and showing a particular interest in Neave…

If you’re a fan of the Blacktalons, the talented crew over at our partners in Wētā Workshop have created the ultimate collectable – a huge 1:6 scale replica of Sigmar’s assassin, mid run as she closes in on some unfortunate enemy of the God-King.

The dynamically posed statue captures Neave in phenomenal detail, from crackling whirlwind axes to her furious expression mid-warcry. Even the discarded orruk helm at her feet is rendered in glorious detail.

Wētā Workshop are taking orders for this statue now.

Also this week, there are three other shows to watch on Warhammer TV. On Loremasters, Alex investigates Ghyran, the Realm of Life, expounding on its history and the people who live there. On Citadel Colour Masterclass, Ed is providing a guide on how to paint the highly reflective black body suits that are typically worn by the deadly agents of the Officio Assassinorum, and on Victory Pointers Josh gets the lowdown on how to approach army building for Warhammer 40,000.

And that’s not all!

There are a host of awesome new shows arriving this winter season! Here’s a sneaky look at what’s coming in the next four weeks to Warhammer+.
