New Trailer! Penitence: A Warhammer 40,000 Animation
Alongside the smorgasbord of new miniatures reveals rolling out of the Warhammer Preview, Warhammer 40,000 fans were also treated to the trailer for their next animated show:
Penitence is an Adepta Sororitas story, following a squad of Battle Sisters as they deliver a sacred relic to a would-be site of pilgrimage. Of course, things don’t quite go to plan, and the Sisters of Battle have to fight through a hostile landscape crawling with savage xenos to deliver their holy cargo.
The Order of the Sacred Rose might be known for their calm, unflinching demeanor, but don’t let that fool you – when bolts start flying and blades start swinging, they can maul with the best of them. They look pretty intimidating once that pristine alabaster armour is splattered with the blood of the unclean.
Up against the Sisters of Battle in this animation are Orks – specifically, Snakebite Orks, a particularly savage and brutal breed of an already savage and brutal race. You can expect some suitably visceral up-close combat between these hulking alien brutes and the elite armoured humans of the sisterhood.
Snakebite Orks are, of course, renowned for their squiggly companions. And we can confirm today that, yes, there are squigs in this animation.
