After last week’s jumbo excerpt detailing the devastating Thramas Crusade, in which the Night Lords spread a campaign of terror across the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy for three solid years, we’re taking a lighter dip into the Black Books this week to cover more of their specific contributions to the war. If you didn’t think they were awful enough already, this might just be the tipping point.
Who are we kidding, they’re still great fun to root for.

The Black Books are some of the original sources for expanded Horus Heresy lore, alongside the Black Library novel series, and examine each of the Legions in exacting detail. Our first few instalments of this new series have focused on the diabolical Night Lords, and there are few conflicts during the Age of Darkness that highlight them as well as the Thramas Crusade.
This week’s download heads back into 2020’s Book Nine – Crusade to scout out a little more of what the Night Lords were up to while antagonising the Dark Angels on the Eastern Fringe.
Soon we’ll be moving on to other Legions and battles from the expansive Age of Darkness, but before we bid adieu to the Nostramans for a while, there’s one more extract from their infamous campaign to catch up on next week – a tally of the worlds along the Eastern Fringe that felt their wrath. We’ll see you then!
