This instalment in the series gives us an unprecedented view into one of the bastions of the Ruination Chamber, the imposing Obsidian Tor – a monolithic castle nestled deep within the Adamantine Chain mountain range in Aqshy.
Let’s take a look at some of the sombre individuals who call this place home.
Theodore, Prosecutor Prime
We’ve already seen Prosecutors in Episode 1, but now we see them taking their place as part of the wider Ruination Chamber. As Sigmar’s vanguard, and on the frontline of many of the Stormcast’s most brutal wars, Prosecutors have endured more deaths than most. This, combined with their exposure to the cursed skies of the realms, has left them as grim echoes of the warriors they were – no less lethal, but hollowed out, and natural companions of the Ruination Chamber.
Lord-Vigilant Greylock
The lord and master of the Obsidian Tor, Greylock is about as old and gnarly as we’ve ever seen a Stormcast, but still a capable leader and powerful warrior, crackling with the energies of the storm. He rides the Gryph-stalker Fulnus, who has the unsettling habit of echoing back phrases in a macabre avian voice. It is his great responsibility to decide if and when to unleash the Ruination Chamber, knowing that each battle may see more of Sigmar’s finest fall in battle for the last time. As Skaven pour across the realm, many voices now cry out for aid.
Reclusian Myridia
Myridia is a Reclusian, one of the formidable warriors of the Ruination Chamber. We find her struggling to piece her shattered memories together after many reforgings, unable even to recognise the faces of old comrades or remember her past glories.
Myridia's mortal servant, Jaxa, is a Memorian Scribe and likely a distant relative. It is Jaxa's role to tend to the Reclusian, helping Myridia keep what remains of her mind and soul tethered to the moment.
Lord-Terminos Heldren
Heldren is an imposing and sombre figure. His grim duty as Lord-Terminos is to judge when a Stormcast's battle is truly over – when their soul is so thin or fractured as to no longer be of service to Sigmar. Only then can his great axe offer them a final death and release.
