Warhammer TV: Talking Helsmiths of Hashut on How We Roll

There are three new shows to watch this week on Warhammer TV – and the highlight is a new episode of How We Roll that’s centaured* on the Helsmiths of Hashut. Warhammer TV presenter Nick is here to explain more.

Nick: On How We Roll, the Warhammer TV gaming team interview some of the brains behind the rules of our favourite games. In the past, we’ve spoken to luminaries from Warhammer 40,000, The Horus Heresy and The Old World – and this week it’s time to head back to the Mortal Realms for a natter with Warhammer Age of Sigmar rules writer Matt about the new Helsmiths of Hashut.

As the lead of the rules team, Matt spends his days shaping the game, carefully balancing units, poring over warscrolls and even playing a few games.

We delve deep into the subject like an unusually industrious hobgrot, examining the whats and whys of the new rules, granting viewers a really thorough behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to design rules.

You’ll discover the process the rules team uses, including all the considerations they take into account such as the look of the miniatures, lore of the faction, internal balance between units, and external balance in the wider game system.

Cheers Nick! On top of that, this week you’ll also be able to listen to Alex expound on that most furious of Space Marine Chapters, the always crusading Black Templars, in a new episode of Loremasters

Ultimate Paint Off also returns for a new series, with episode one focusing on the theme of ‘contrast’ – in the technical sense, not the paint! Contestants compete by painting a series of 10 heads, before moving on to a Mindstealer Sphiranx, all in an attempt to wow a guest judge.

Later this week subscribers will be able to order their new awesome Warhammer+ diorama miniatures. If you have not seen them yet, you can check them out here, plus see how our team got on with painting them. They’re just one aspect of your Warhammer+ subscription which includes access to new shows and animations, and more besides.

* You can thank Nick for this amazing pun.
