Earlier this year we announced a stack of new books – two are already out, and the other two are coming later this year, but despite your growing reading list Black Library aren’t about to let up. They’ve lined up another three books – but you still have a little time yet to reinforce your bookshelves…
The most hirsute of Space Marine chapters, the Space Wolves, have only just received a stunning new range of miniatures. Due to their fondness for sagas, this Chapter is catnip (dognip?) to Black Library authors – who can’t resist writing a story about people who tell stories? Speaking of which…

Krakenblood by Marc Collins follows Ivar Krakenblood, a Wolf Priest given a personal mission by Ulrik the Slayer: to lead a band of warriors into the darkness to face impossible threats, recover a sacred relic of the Chapter, and challenge the fates themselves on the way. That’s pure, unfiltered saga material right there.
Know who else tells a good tale? People with long memories. The ability to recall little incidental details from a long time ago helps furnish a great yarn, and there are few in the galaxy as fastidious in their attention to minutiae as the Necrons.

While their empire sleeps, the Triarch Praetorians stand sentinel. Khemet has done her duty over her tombs for millions of years, but as the Necrons begin to wake up, so too do old ambitions and treacheries from aeons past. Dogged by the shame of a terrible failure, Khemet is given one chance to restore her honour and reclaim her standing in Tomb World by Jonathan D. Beer – and it’s not going to be simple.
The last entry on our briefly jotted list of storyteller archetypes is a good villain. These folks will monologue for an eternity if you let them, pontificating on grand plans, explaining what drove them to maniacal evil in hushed tones – they live for drama. Who are the most villainous of villains in the 41st Millennium? The Night Lords might just take the cake.*

Dalchian Rassaq, the Skin-Taker, is the former lord of the Blades of Atrocity. Deposed by his rivals and left for dead, he catches wind of a deadly new threat rising against the Night Lords. With former allies and merciless foes circling, and vanishingly few loyal warriors, Dalchian must resort to cunning to outplay his rivals. A phantom voidship and a renegade tech-priest who might help him take command of it might be the keys to his victory. Many stand in his way, and his blades thirst for blood.
The Remnant Blade by Mike Vincent will be available later in the year.
We’ll have news of the release dates of all three books in the coming months, plus more news from Black Library is on the way, right here on Warhammer Community.
