Infinite and the Divine author Robert Rath commands his own Necron characters in Battle Report

The authors of our Black Library novels naturally have a deep love of all things Warhammer, and quite often their own hobby creations provide them with the inspiration for details in their stories. Such is the case with Robert Rath, who used his own Necron miniatures when writing The Infinite and the Divine, and is using them again in this week’s Battle Report.

The author of  Assassinorum: Kingmaker and The Fall of Cadia swaps his typing implements for gaming paraphernalia to command an undying host fronted by the eternally bickering protagonists of The Infinite and the Divine, Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner

He’ll be taking on Warhammer TV’s very own Joshua, who will be fielding his personal Salamanders army. It’s a thrilling 1,000-point Matched Play game, but it’s also two people playing their favourite armies and telling their own stories on the tabletop, making it an unmissable watch.

If that wasn’t enough wordsmith action, we have a second Black Library author joining us on Warhammer TV this week. Jude Reid is talking to Alex about writing stories set in the grim darkness of the far future on Scribes & Scriveners. You’ll be able to find out what goes into writing Warhammer whilst balancing it against a medical career! They chat about creating stories like Morvenn Vahl: Spear of Faith, Fulgrim: The Perfect Son, Creed: Ashes of Cadia, and Daemonbreaker.

In Armies of Renown, Ed is catching up with Dan from the Warhammer TV army painting team, and his sprawling Death Guard army. A regular fixture in the Warhammer World cabinets for many years, this collection is packed with incredible conversions, and is all painted and weathered up in a way that makes them look like true sons of Mortarion. It’s an incredible hobby project that has been built up over many years, and Dan is full of wisdom when it comes to inspiration, and keeping the flame alive for such a long project.

Everything we’ve written about above is available to watch on Warhammer TV right now!
