The final episode of the Warhammer 40,000 animation Penitence just went live, meaning you can now watch the full three-episode series – along with the rest of today’s new shows – over on Warhammer TV.
WARNING: Before you go any further into this article, we must warn you – there may be mild spoilers ahead. You have been warned, ‘umie.

The stars of Penitence are the Battle Sisters of the Order of the Sacred Rose. We recently took a closer look at them, so now it’s time to take a look at their enemies – the brutal Orks.
Our stranded Sisters of Battle are being hunted by Kommandos – a particularly cruel and lethal persuasion of Ork. Kommandos are perhaps most associated with the militant Blood Axes, but they can be found in every one of the ancestral Ork cultures.
The Kommandos in Penitence are Snakebites – tough-as-old-boots Boyz who value tradition over innovation and squigs over snazz. The feral hunting style of the Snakebites makes a surprisingly effective pairing with their role as Kommandos, as the Orks put their tracking and ambush skills to good use against the unsuspecting humans.

As you watch, you’ll see that many of the Boyz have adorned themselves in crude Waaagh! paint, which may offer camouflage, intimidation, or maybe just make them look proppa killy.

Just because these Orks value the old ways, doesn’t mean they disregard ALL technology. Every Ork appreciates the usefulness of a transport to get them into the fight, and the Boyz in this animation are supervised by a Mekboy, with strict orders from “Da Boss” to build a ship.
He looks quite savage for a Mekboy. In a nod to his clan allegiance, he still wears animal furs, and his spanna is shaped like a snake.

Of course, Orks of EVERY clan recognise the dominance of a true Warboss.
Throughout the last episode, we can see various Orkish idols, raised up by the local mobs of the world.
Does the shape remind you of anyone?

What happens to these Orks after the series? You’ll just have to watch the final episode to find out!
Maybe we’ll see them again one day.*
Watch the full series now on Warhammer TV, alongside all of the following shows that also have awesome new episodes out today. Weapons and Wargear opens the technoarchives for an in-depth look at the various power weapons found throughout the 41st Millennium, with lore experts from the Warhammer Studio discussing how they work, why they’re used, and who likes to swing them around.
Arena of Death throws down the gauntlet in one of the most exciting and outrageous episodes yet, as “Dream Teams” of Space Marine, Imperium, Chaos, and Xenos characters crash into each other across brutal rounds of hero-on-hero action. Each team of five has some of the best and the brightest from their respective factions – who’ll come out on top?

Finally, Da Mekboy’s Workshop goes behind the scenes of the jaw-dropping Warhammer Quest: Darkwater diorama created for Warhammer World. The incredible talents behind this work of art reveal how they approached its complex, multi-level design and water effects, and are full of wisdom on the role of narrative and theme in an effective diorama. A real must-see for hobbyists who love a good environment.
Those episodes aren't the only things coming to your Warhammer+ subscription this week, however, as two more issues of White Dwarf join the Warhammer Vault. Issues 505 and 506 feature everyone’s favourite factions – Orks and Space Marines – in a face-off as old as time.
