Warhammer TV this week: Open up the new General’s Handbook

Last week on Warhammer TV there was a double bill of episodes all about Warhammer Age of Sigmar – both the design decisions behind the new season of Matched Play, and some pointers on how to build lists. Well now that very same General’s Handbook 2025-26 is most likely in your hands, and the Battle Report team are celebrating with a 2,000-point Matched Play game.

This week Simon and Nick are taking the fight to Ghyran in an epic showdown between the Sylvaneth and the Maggotkin of Nurgle – the two powers who endlessly wrestle for control over the Realm of Life. They’ll be playing the Bountiful Equinox battleplan, and the Everqueen herself will be mounting a formidable defence of her home against Grandfather’s foul servants.

If you’re wondering how the two-man painting team for Battle Report prepare the many armies they need to such a high standard in such a short timeframe, this week’s episode of Da Mekboy’z Workshop is all about tackling large projects. We discover how Andy and James manage their time on such hefty projects, and what techniques, tips, and tricks they use to power through.

Our final show this week is the all new Weapons & Wargear. Intended to provide a deeper insight into the origins and creations of some of the most iconic and compelling parts of Warhammer, the first episode tackles that most venerable of weapons, the boltgun. From the first design to the practicality of a Space Marine actually wielding one, it’s an in-depth look at the defining piece of Warhammer wargear.
