The final instalment of the Dawn of Fire series is available to pre-order on Saturday, nearly five years since Avenging Son was first released. The opening chapter of this grand narrative was written by Guy Haley – as was Throne of Light – and he has returned once again to complete the story with The Silent King.

This nine-part tale began with Roboute Guilliman launching the Indomitus Crusade, and ends with the Great Rift opened, the Pariah Nexus a rapidly growing threat, and the return of Szarekh, the Silent King, ruler of the Necrons.
It’s an epic narrative right at the centre of the Warhammer 40,000 setting, and Guy recently popped into Warhammer HQ to tell us all about being part of this epic series – watch it below.
But what to read next? It’s a vast galaxy out there, a setting of endless war, and there are almost infinite points of view to consider. Luckily Guy has a pretty good idea for what to tackle next. Belisarius Cawl: The Great Work focuses on the Archmagos Dominus and his mission to close the Great Rift.

This is the first book featuring Cawl as the central character – a particular delight for Haley, who is fascinated with the maverick Tech-Priest that eschews responsibility and is obsessed with near-heretical technology.
The Silent King comes to pre-orders this Saturday.
